Ecuador is a must-visit destination for all birders. A small country, boasting over 1600 species of birds. Birding areas are well equipped with comfortable birder-oriented lodges and distances to the main hotspots are generally short. We offer comprehensive tours to two of the main destinations, on either slope of the Andes. Mindo is world-famous for its great quality birding, easy access and high endemism. The Eastern slope of the Andes is slightly more remote and provides a great contrast to Mindo's birds, including many amazonian specialties. Combining both tours you can see over 50 species of just Hummingbirds, a similar amount of colorful Tanagers, many Toucans, Antpittas, and much more.
